How do I fix audio that only plays in one ear?

Choose Left to both if the sound is in the left ear, or Right to both if it is in the right ear. That side is copied to both channels, so you hear it in both ears.

When would I need to swap left and right?

When a recorder or interface was wired the wrong way round, so the guitar that should be on the left plays on the right, or a two-person interview has each voice on the wrong side.

What does Remove center do?

It cancels the sound that is equally loud in both channels, which in most songs is the lead vocal. The result is mono. The Vocal Remover page explains how it works and what to expect.

Does swapping channels change the sound quality?

The samples are only moved between channels. If you save as WAV or FLAC, nothing else changes. MP3, M4A and OGG are encoded again at the quality you pick.

Can I swap the channels of a mono file?

No. A mono file has only one channel, so there is nothing to swap. The tool tells you when a file is mono.
