About Audio Ready

Audio Ready is a set of free audio tools: an audio converter, a trimmer and joiner, a ringtone maker, effects like speed and pitch, and tools that use your microphone, like the voice recorder and mic test.

Why it exists

Most online audio tools upload your file to a server, make you wait in a queue, then cap the file size or ask for an email before the download. That's slow for big files and awkward for private recordings. Audio Ready does the work on your own device instead, so there's nothing to upload and nothing to wait for.

How it works

Files are decoded and encoded in your browser with Mediabunny, an open-source media toolkit, using your browser's built-in codecs and WebAssembly encoders for MP3, FLAC and AAC. Effects are rendered with the Web Audio API. Microphone tools read your mic only while the page is open and never send the sound anywhere.
