MP3 to OGG Converter
Convert MP3 files to OGG audio with the Opus codec, made in your browser.
How it works
- 1Drop MP3 files here or click to choose them.
- 2Pick a bitrate. Opus sounds good at lower bitrates than MP3, so 96 or 128 kbps is often enough.
- 3Click Convert to OGG and download the .ogg file.
OGG, Vorbis and Opus
OGG is a container, a wrapper for audio. The two codecs you'll find inside it are Vorbis, from the early 2000s, and Opus, released in 2012 and used today by WhatsApp voice notes, Discord and video calls in the browser.
This converter writes Opus. Choose it for websites, web apps and anywhere file size matters. If a program's documentation asks for Ogg Vorbis, as Minecraft resource packs do, these files won't work there.
