Ringtone Maker
Pick the best 30 seconds of a song and save them as a ringtone for an iPhone or an Android phone.
How it works
- 1Drop a song or a video. The first 30 seconds are selected.
- 2Drag the selection to the part you want and press Play selection to hear it.
- 3Choose M4R for iPhone or MP3 for Android, press Make ringtone and download it.
Picking a good ringtone clip
Start the selection right on a strong moment, like the first beat of a chorus or a hook, so the phone sounds recognizable from the first ring. Avoid quiet intros: a ringtone that starts softly can be missed in a pocket. Use Play selection to check that the clip ends cleanly; the fade out takes care of the last second and a half.
iPhone or Android
An iPhone only shows ringtones that were synced from a computer or exported from GarageBand, so a downloaded M4R has to go through Finder, iTunes or GarageBand first. Our MP3 to M4R page walks through each method. Android phones accept an MP3 or OGG file directly from the sound settings.
